Always measure the opening before deciding which Safety Gate you are going to purchase! Chelsea Tall Swing-Closed Security Gates are suitable for doorways and hallways sized 71-80cm (28-31"). With optional extensions, they can fit openings up to 4.80m (188.5"). Extensions are easily attached to the gate before installation.

Best doggy gate so far!
Great product well made. Use it as a doggy gate for three schnauzers. Easy to open both ways. Particularly like the stay open position feature. Only drawing back is when you have a slanted (not vertical) baseboard. It was very hard to tighten the flat head fixture against the wall for positioning the lower section of the frame. I screwed down the enclosed positioning cup into the baseboard to make do. I would design the place of attachment for the lower frame about 2 to 3 inches higher than the current design so that it would attach to the wall and not the baseboard. I have had the same problem with other gates. I suspect this is a common problem with the many baseboards available.

Like the design and color but the latch feels a bit flimsy; it doesn’t always catch when closing so I always wiggle it to make sure it’s latched properly. The gate is sturdy when closed - so much so that it didn’t budge when I slipped on the top step and I grabbed the gate for support. packaging was poor-both the gate and extension came in boxes with the corners ripped open and the edges of the gates scraped and worn- you don’t see it since they are up against the walls but all other gates I‘ve purchased came with cardboard corners to protect the gates during shipment. wish the opening was a little wider but overall am happy with this gate for the top of our stairs.

Amazing baby gates
I bought 4 of these gates for my son and daughter in law. They have. 2 dogs and a baby on the way. After measuring the openings I called the company to ask for help ensuring I was ordering the right size. They were very helpful. The gates came within about 3 days. They were easy to install and look great. The extra tall ones will help to keep the dogs from jumping over. They are very easy to open and close. It is very beneficial they open both ways. Four years ago I ordered the same gates but larger for my home. Very happy with them and they are still in use.

Perfect gate to keep our dog safe
Bought this baby gate because the 'dog gate' was out of stock. This was recommended as it's the same as their dog gate with an advantage of being able to keep the gate open when required. Easy to install, fitted our wide hallway perfectly with the extension panel. I love it and everyone comments how good it looks and so easy to use. Even the dog doesn't mind!

High Quality Amazing Gate
We purchased this gate a month ago to replace another shorter gate (different brand) and so wish we had just gone with this one from the start! We have a very large 8 month old german shepherd puppy and he was able to push and eventually just jump over the other 750mm tall gate we had, but this one has really made our hallway a fortress. He doesn't even try to get over it. Very impressed with the quality of this gate compared to the other one as well; it is very heavy duty and has not moved at all since we installed it, but also has not left any marks on the wall and could be easily removed when we don't need it anymore. No need to tighten or shimmy it around, it's very secure, yet also so easy to open and close. This is definite value for money and I would highly recommend to anyone for pets or children.

Very good practical option
Just bought this for one area of our ouse and easy installation, like it so much we are now purchasing 11 more for various locations in our two homes which will keep our little baby very safe and will allow us to continue with our same lifestyle particularly being able to keep outdoor doors open for fresh air and using the Chelsea security gate to avoid our child from wandering away.

Perfect for our grandchildren and dogs
Brought two of these yesterday and have installed the first one in our kitchen doorway with no problems at all and will be perfect for keeping our grandchildren and or dogs safely in or out of the kitchen. The second requires gate extensions so will be picking those up today and write a review but based on the ease of this gate, not expecting any problems with install and use.

Great gate
I purchased the 38 - 42.5" Xtra Tall auto close gate and two extensions for my 2 year old grandson to close off an entrance that was leading to an office. It is very solid and easy to install. The extra height discouraged him from attempting to climb over the gate and the auto close feature is great. I am very happy with my purchase.

No it doesn’t. I think you can I go you want, but ours are temporary and it is not drilled into the wall. Super strong and haven’t had any issues.

Our gate Chelsy doesn't close how can we adjust it?
Is this a new install? You have to adjust the knobs that you use to tighten or loosen the gate to be sure it is square in the opening. It may require going back and forth between the upper and lower on each side to do it.

At what height does the gate fasten?
Hi, it fastens at the very top and at the very bottom of the swing gate. Ours was a little interesting getting used to the pull-lift maneuver to open, but I love that it will stay open or swing shut 100% of the time depending on how far you open it.

I have an opening at the top of my stairs that measure 62-64.5 inches. Which extensions do I require?

Or, if you prefer the gate door to be more centered, you could add one 10.5" Extension (F194B), & one 14.5" Extension (F841B)..
