- Safety gates are some of the most important parts of safety around the home. They are a great way to protect children from entering potentially hazardous areas of the house, or keeping them in a supervised area.
Some openings are wider and require extensions to be added to the gates - and now they come in a set!
The Chelsea Tall Set comes with two extra high (1M) gates and two small, extra high extensions (9cm). With the use of one gate and both extensions, you can fit openings of between 71 - 98cm. These are perfect for doorways, hallways, stairways (top and bottom) and other openings throughout the home. Taller gates are useful for taller children who can reach the regular gate height, as well as being great to use with pets. The gate swings closed automatically - the one handed operation for adults is super convenient!

Gate for a mischievous dog
Bought this gate for a mischievous dog. Needed to keep her upstairs at night and not getting into the kitchen garbage or other areas of the home. Out of sight with this one is worrisome. Installed at top of stairs. The gate was easy to put up and used the little cups for added measure. Would really like to see cups with a wider spread. I feel they would provide better security but I can buy them on amazon. Do like the automatically closing feature so I can't 'forget' to check it. It's been a couple of months now, so far so good. We shall see how this holds in time to a dog that wants to dig in the garbage to access all the hidden treasures.

Very easy to use
I really like the Boston Auto Close Gate. It has a wider gate opening than my other pressure mounted gate and can swing open both ways. You can see in the picture I attached how much wider it is (my Boston gate is black and my older gate it white). It is also much easier to release one handed. Just slide your thumb and lift up. The auto close feature is also very nice and if you push the gate all the way open, you can lock it in that position if you want it to stay open for a long period of time when you don't need to use it as a gate, but don't want to remove it, either.

Another Great Dreambaby Gate
We have the Dawson Gates which we love but needed a wider gate for another doorway. This Chelsea Gate Kit also gives us the option of using the gate with extensions in other areas - a win, win! This is another winning gate by Dreambaby but since it doesnt come in silver to match the Dawson gate, we choose the black for a better color match.We absolutely love that this gate has ALL the same features as the Dawson just the style is a little different. It auto closes and has the hold open features as well! This is another heavy duty metal gate that should last us for years to come. This gate also was super easy to install. No drills/tools are needed, you just install and turn the tension knobs to tighten the gate into your doorframe. Happy repeat customer!

Perfect for newly crawling baby
We purchased this gate to keep my son out of the kitchen now that he is crawling. Since travel between the kitchen and the living room has to happen multiple times a day it is great that this gate can be opened with one hand. We used the pressure mounting feature since we are currently renting this house and want to be able to take the gate with us without damage to the walls. My son has tried a few times to pull up on the gate and it has not moved at all. I also like the stay open feature so that once the little one is in bed we are able to leave the gate open for the adults. The mounting cups made this much easier to position. It did take two adults to get everything situated but that was expected in putting up a sturdy gate. This is definitely something that we would purchase again should the need arise.

difficult installation/poor design
The installation manual is very brief and unclear. We were not able to install it at the bottom of our stairs. Screw holes are designed so they are not secure with the screws attached to the knobs. They are seemingly stripped, so any time we tighten/adjust the knobs the right side the left slides out of its place and vice versa. Therefore, the opening of the gate will not narrow enough to activate the magnetic feature. I would return this product, but the store I purchased from went out of business.

Awesome Gate for my Dogs!
This Chelsea gate combination kit with the extensions was a great purchase. First of all, purchasing as a kit saved money over shopping around for gates and extenders to fit my large doorway. Secondly, with the included extensions, this gate can be used in other areas of the house if I need to move it. I don't have any kids but wanted a gate to keep the dogs out of my bedroom until doggy 'bedtime'. This way they are not tracking mud into my bedroom or chewing treats and toys apart on my bed - messy! The gate shuts automatically so I don't have to worry about them sneaking in! The gate was pretty easy to put up as it doesn't require any tools. It really looks nice in either my modern bedroom décor on one side or the natural hues and woodsy living room vibe on the other. Although my big dogs 'respect' this gate and don't try to knock it down, it is a very sturdy metal gate.

Great safety Gate
I use the Boston Magnetic auto-close security gate and it works great. The auto close feature is great but the gate is overall very sturdy. I had closed the gate before and my little one tried to push it open and can't. The lock is tight and secure and my little one can't open it. As for adults, it's pretty easy to open with pushing and lifting up the gate. I would definitely recommend this product.

Highest Gate I've Found!
I have a 1 year old very hyper lab and we finally found a gate she cannot jump over or knock down! The gate swings both ways and is wide enough for carrying laundry baskets through! i would recommend this to anyone with a strong dog that likes to jump or any parent with busy babies, no worries they cannot get anything stuck in the railing and they also extend!

When installing the gate, it's important to ensure that all tension bolts are properly installed and adjusted so that the gap will close. Be sure to first insert all four tension bolts into the gate (one on each corner), then turn the discs to create pressure against your wall. You'll then see the gap begin to close, so keep going until it's fully closed and the gate latches!
